Cycle Sounds has a plug and play option available that prevents wire splicing. There are other ways that UltraNutz has posted on the "Official 2014 Audio Thread", that may help as well.

Maybe I did something wrong but when I installed mine,
1) I ran 2 wires directly from the battery, under the tank and to the new amp.
2) Then I ran the 2 front speaker wires from the harness to the inputs of the amp
3) Then I ran the new speaker wires directly to the outputs of the Amp.
4) Then I did the tuning of the amp reading the UN sticky at the stop of this Forum.
5) Then I added the poly fill (Walmart quilting batting) and only have 2 sheets stuffed around each speaker.

My gain is set at about 5 and they are loud and most songs distortion free and sound much better than stock up to about 13 bars on the stock HU.
