LOL these speakers are only rated for 100 watts and 125 watts per, I don't think running that kind of amperage would be good for them. Should pot something back this weekend oh and thanks for the compliment I have been working on it for a couple of years now. Still no motor work yet, but then again if I did that what would I do next year.

ok so I just ordered my line level converter and after a lot of thought and research I chose the higher end model I went with the Rockford Fosgate T400x4AD. I think in the long run it will be a better choice. So with this amp I shouldn't need a real line level converter since it has an adjustable input, correct? I am just trying to get my ducks in a row and if I need to buy something prior to amp arrival then I want to do so. Like I said currently the PBR400X4 is hooked up and running so plan is to just swap the amps using all the PBR setup which was all factory Rockford. LMK your thoughts.
Thanks

The BT 7.1 speakers are rated for 125W continuous 240W peak. The Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Component set are rated at 100 continuous 400 max per side. I am not one to over power my speakers as I would rather drive tem at max amp a tad bit under speaker cont. just my .02 though.

Power isn't what you should be worried about. Power won't kill a speaker. It's the under powered speaker that distorts that causes them to blow. Ideally you want an amp with a good amount of head room so that your not overworking the amp to drive the speakers to their peak abilities.

Received new amp and installed it adding in a line level converter and low level rca inputs. With this new amp install the sound is now great however my speakers are now randomly cutting out, they do not cutout at the same time they do it sporadic with no rhyme or reason. I have yet to have both speakers drop at the same time, any thoughts?

Think I am closer to 3/4, really disappointed in the HK head unit. these head units seem to be very poorly made. I will try to turn down gains and see what it pushes but if I remember right volume was low at mid gain level. Maybe next step is a new head unit. Guess we will just have to wait and see, more to come.
