Next, moved onto wiring the fun stuff. With the gas tank and wire cover removed, I ran 8ga OFC for the Arc Audio Moto 600.4

the blue power cable was wrapped in Black TESA tape.

The gain settings was set also using my o-scope. The headunit pre-out produce no clipping at full volume (50) @ 5.1V. The amp gains was set around 18.5v before clip signal at 1khz @0db test tone. The final volume level before clipping is 43 on the volume.

Finished up the install today, they system sounded amazing. Still had great SQ while the engine was running and during revs. Didn't get a chance to take it out at highway speed. My friend will report back how it sounded at highway speed on his way home.

Great work HDAUDIOMAN! How long did that install take you? Have you ever set the gains on a bike with AVC? I'm not sure how that is done since the volume is increased significantly when the bike is moving.

How do the Moto 602's compare to the high end Focal speakers? I really like the fact they fit in the stock Harley fairing pods without modification. I don't get why more guys haven't used these speakers.....I've been searching the forums and don't see them mentioned much.

I worked on the bike between 3 other car audio builds through out the past week and half. I would say I spent about 7 hours total on the bike. The first bike install Ive ever done. Im a little slower and cautious during disassemble of anything Im working on.

I have not set gains on a bike with AVC. That shouldn't matter when setting the gains when using a test tone and o-scope. you are just looking for clipped signal out the deck and amp to get best performance prevent damage to speakers.

The Moto 602 perform very nice. I love they are actually designed for the motorcycle environment and perform like stated. very clear without breakup at high volumes which is needed when riding down the freeway. High end focal speakers are good, but are designed for car environment. I see people use them on bikes but have not heard them personally installed on a bike. On cost alone Moto 602 will out perform anything in the $350 price range. For that price of high end focal poly kevar kr2($999) you could buy 3 sets of the 602 alot of speakers may sound good in a parking lot with the bike engine off. turn test is while its running and cursing down the freeway. Thats where these speakers perform. Lots of guys used the old Arc Audio 602 in the past that were not good. Arc stepped up in the past few years with Moto 602 and the newer 602v2 that fit the 2014 and up. Most guys use the Biketronic setups I see on most of the forums. But in the car audio world most shops use brands they carry for automobiles.

I think people aren't using them because price tag and lack of user reviews. If I had 350.00 bucks for a set of speakers I can find 100 reviews for Biketronics 7.1's that cost 269.00. Or if I'm following the Car Audio world lots of reviews (especially in the Bagger community) for Hertz HCX line that are in the same price range. Not too many good reviews like you stated for the previous 602 line so guys have steered clear from these. Hell it wasn't until you mentioned them, and Gannicus grabbed a set that anyone thought these would be worth a damn because of the specs. Turns out, they're damn good!!! Thanks for introducing them to the forum.

Like anything word of mouth is a great marketing tool....my guess is word will spread and folks will start using them. Especially with the popularity the Moto 600.4 amp is gaining.
