Angry Ever get the feeling you've been swindled??

Let me start by thanking UltranutZ, and Gannicus (I'll square up with you Friday) for the assistance with my upgrade.

First the good news. I installed the RZ4-2000d and didn't lose my FM. Then I installed the polk MM651s I got from Gannicus in the rear pods along with the new set I had in the faring. Set the gains, polyfill, button her back up. Sounds INCREDIBLE!

NOW the BAD news, and I chit you not! Less than 100 miles later the NEW left front speaker blows!! I am just bat $hit pissed right now! Oh course, I bought them from amazon end of last year, just got it all set up now, can't return them, Polk ain't gonna warrenty 'em! That's a chunk of change to just **** away!

Sorry, just venting! anybody got 1 good mm they wanna part with?

Have I ever got the feeling I've been swindled with audio equipment you asked????
Yes. Twice. And I just got a new catalog mailed to me last week from them.
It was the first piece of that day's mail to hit the trash.

Nobody will have a good mm to sell becouse there isn't such a thing. Swindled... Maybe, I think what you got was a set of speakers without doing your homework. If you did do your homework...... Well then you knew this was a very common issue with the speakers and there was a good chance you would be next. Mm651s sound great no doubt but come on man. There have been countless sets fail. If you didn't blow the speaker you would have melted it down anyway. Go with the kappas if your looking in that price range. For the record I did have Polk replace a set of mm651s for once. I was scetchy becouse the are big on only standing behind a product that comes from an "authorized dealer". WAKE UP POLK THERE STILL YOUR JUNK SPEAKERS NEW IN THE BOX!!
Anyway I bought mine from eBay and still managed to get them replaced. I've personally seen four sets blow so if I were you I would sale the new warranty set as new and buy something else, if you can get Polk to replace them that is.

Had 2 pairs of polks do the same thing. Switched over to kickers, no problem at all. Have kappas on order to see if I like them, and the price was right.

It's too bad, because when the polks are new, they sound amazing.

Count your blessings. Kappas have a fuller sound and are built like tanks. That's just my experienced position on this matter.

Pull out all the polks and sell the good pair on eBay. The mistake has already been made all you can do know is clean up the peices and try to recover some of your money by selling the set that hasn't failed yet ( becouse they will fail too). Kappas would be my suggestion unless your wanting to spend alittle more.
