Default 08' Roadglide Audio Upgrade???

Im doing an audio upgrade for a buddy of mine on his 08' Roadglide and I have a few ?'s.....He is going to keep the stock HK head unit, The amp will be a RF PBR300X2 and were only gonna replace/upgrade the fairing speakers. Note: there are no other speakers only fairing speakers!

1) Do we have to hard wire the amp in or is there a plug and play kit available?
2) What are the best suggestions for speaker adapter rings?
3) What are some good choices for speakers on a tight budget say no more than $200 or less a pair?
4) And would there be anything else needed besides all the wiring, inline fuses, and connectors?

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!

No plug and play just get an amp wiring kit and do a standard hard wire install

Best = Arc Audio adaptors. Budget = Eastern Performance ones on eBay

That's a good budget, he can get himself some good speakers. For that particular amp - Infinity Kappa 62.11i

Yes, get some polyfill (polyester batting) and wrap the back of the speakers with 2-3 sheets. Do a search, tons of pics on how to do this.

You ever hear of the Metras or Throttle Up Industries Rings?

Ive heard of the Kappas but I hear they seem to be on the Tinny side?

And yes familiar with the Polyfill.

Yes. The Rockford 10 gauge kit is a good kit. or on a budget the Boss 8 gauge kit on amazon will do just fine.

For the RG . . . Get the ARC rings.

With a $200 budget for speakers Don't skimp. Pay another $60 bucks and get the 7.1's from Biketronics. Bill might be able to save you even more if you call him directly.

These will be the only speakers he will ever have to buy. That in itself is worth the extra $60 bucks.

NOTE* Wire the PBR with the stock HU using high level inputs. (Speaker wires) The PBR doesn't play well with RCA's on the stocker.

Would he need the adapters if he orders the BT 7.1's? wouldn't that be more money saved?

Thanks again guys!! Well now he's thinking of just going with an aftermarket deck instead if so who makes a plug and play unit besides Biketronics to retain the hand controls?

Thanks
