HogTunes Fail
Ok Guys, Yep.. I'm the guy that had the thread in the Touring forum on HogTunes after Install... :-)
I'm going to get this thread going so I know what to do this time around... So here is the deal... Things I was looking for when I purchased HogTunes and what I want from a new system...
So given that, I am not sure I "need" to replace the head unit. I do use a Bluetooth stereo receiver I bought that plugs into the aux in on the front of the HK. So I still need that option or if replacing the HU, then Bluetooth built in. My ride is an '09 Ultra with simply the stock 4 speaker system.
Let me know what you feel would be the best to order and if possible shoot me the links.. Thanks in Advance...!!

- Handle Bar Controls need to still work
- Obviously much better sound quality and volume
- As plug & play as possible would be nice but not 100% needed
- After having the hogtunes amp in the bat wing for a couple days, I think I would rather have an amp in my lower tour pack?

I would just like to say this past weekend I heard a hog tune system in a 2014 limited. It was better than stock . It needs no flash and everything works . Is it the best system out there ? No but they don't advertise that it is. This was on a privately owned motorcycle that the system was installed by its owner.

Yes, I do listen to FM, actually quite a bit. If not FM then as mentioned I have a stereo Bluetooth receiver I plug into my aux in...
Stock '09 HK with the 4 5-1/2 speakers.
Probably stick with the 4, not looking to add more, just looking to have a better quality sound with a bit better volume.
This was the reason I went HogTunes to begin with. It was very plug & play, just a real bad experience...

Biketronics BT 2180 amp. 7.1 speakers in the fairing. Kicker KSC67 speakers in the rear pods. Done. Plug and play is over rated. It's all pretty much plug and play these days. Vendors like to use it as a selling point for newbies to bike audio.
