No need for a wiring harness for the rears. The speakers simply connect to the amp. Bill has all kinds of harnesses for different applications though. You might check with him when you call him. He's always got something to make your install easier.

So you think the no fade isn't a big deal. (I've never used it since I've owned the bike anyway I guess). So if I truly have no plans to go past the 4 speakers, get the kickers, BK2180, & 7.1's in the front... But if I think I might add speakers in the future then go with the setup they suggested with the 4180 and their 4 speakers and rear pods?

Perfect... One more question...

Those kickers... I would use the grills that comes with them? are there any concerns with them and sun\water damage?

Bingo! Now one of two things could happen going this route:

1. Coming from stock, then HT, this will blow it so far out the water you will never need to upgrade ever again.

2. Coming from stock, then HT, this will be so damn awesome you'll tell yourself imagine if I had speakers in my lowers, it would be that much more awesome.

You know yourself better than we do. Either way you end up with a bad *** system.

LOL... Well my gut tells me, the difference in price to go with the BK kit with 4 speakers\pods\4180 is only a few hundred more.

That's how "they" get you. I grabbed a 4180 - 7.1s in the fairing, 6.5's in the lowers and 6X9's inside the bags.

Then I felt guily that I had available power for 2 more speakers and there was no way I was going to let that go to waste so I ordered speaker lids.

It's a trap!! But one that sounds fantastic.

After some more back and forth with biketronices, I think I am going this route except with the BT4180 amp. I found out that their rear pods do not have the OEM controls on them, and my wife uses those controls all the time when on the back. So I want to keep them. Their speakers will not fit in the OEM pods without modification, so I will just go with the Kickers in the back. Gannicus you did say those kickers drop right in the rear pods, just a little drill bit to start the screws right?
