The Cerwin Vega B2 is a great amp! But as always with class D there is a possibility he could lose FM. Some guys do and some guys don't. It's a crap shoot.
So it wouldn't matter where the amp is mounted, it'll still be a crap shot.

Your probability of success will increase due to the amp being farther away from the HU. That said. There is still no guarantee you won't lose FM. It's just the DNA of the class D amps.

Thanks for the info on the cerwin b2, might be worth the crap shot to keep fade control IF adding rear speakers.
Gannicus, will I need the RCA jacks that come in the kit? I tried to find directions for connecting the Power Acoustik RZ4-2000D but, I haven't found anything. I understand the directions for the speaker but, not sure about the amp.
Thanks,
Brian

No Sir. You have the stock HU. You will use the speaker wires. If and when you upgrade to an aftermarket HU you will need RCA's.

How about the PBR300X4? I'm looking at a system with four, 5-1/4" speakers and would love to drive each one independently. Looks like the Kickers would work with this set up, but I'm one of the ones that wouldn't mind keeping FM. Thoughts?

Reason: 5-1/4 speakers, not 5-1/2. Doh!

If you are not trying to take the boys down at bike night the PBR300X4 will work fine with the kickers. Just not a very powerful or versatile amp. Only compatible with 4 ohm speakers and only 75 watts per channel. I will say it beats the hell out of the stock system. The good news is the X4 will allow you to keep your FM radio.
