Default Rushmore Audio Upgrade - Take Two

Well, as may of you predicted the Boom Stage II system did not turn out as planned. I'm going to back to stock and will be trying again soon

I'm interested in hearing your reviews of the Biketronics BT4180 amp with 7.1 speakers (regular or pro) or the Soundz Customz system which is made up of a Moto 600.4 amp and Focal 165KRC speakers. If you have the Focal's, can you post a photo of them in the tourpak pods. If you have a 4 channel Biketronics setup, let me know what's in your tourpak. While I'm interested in all reviews, I'm hoping to hear from those who have the Rushmore bikes. I'm very much interested in the sound difference between the open air speaker setup with the Biketronics mounts vs premium speakers in the Harley fairing pods.

As a side note - since my CVO already has a Boom amp, is it safe to assume I can leave whatever programming my bike has alone if I add a different one?

Both systems have great reviews. I guess I'm looking for a bit of direct knowledge from the guys here. Maybe a pro vs con for the top tier systems. I really like the lifetime warranty for the Biketronics stuff, but IMHO it's more important for the speakers than the amp.

Are the Biketronics or Focal speakers waterproof? How do the Rushmore guys like the Biketronics brackets? Any downside to using them in place of the pods? Is the lack of adjustments an issue with the BT4180?

+1 Every time I speak with that dude it's like a conversation with the Oracle! And magically my audio system just gets better and better. My 4180 and Titan II's get here tomorrow and I am 100% fully on board with BT from here out, all due to the customer service this one gentleman has provided me.

On a positive note, the BT components probably won't cost any more then the Boom II junk you had installed. BTW, did you get a full refund?

Sort of. Looks like I'm going to eat most of the cost of the original installation, but everything else is being taken care of.

It definitely could have been worse.
