Question Best 6,5" speakers for MC

Which are the best 6,5" speakers in the market?
I want...
* great sound
* lovely bass
* marine speakers to withstand rain
* possibility to loosen the grid because I want to paint it
* good quality

I will use the radio alone and later on itīs possible I buy an amplifier, not decided yet.

Best regards,
/Thomas Andersson

The best speakers that will sound good with just the radio will be entirely different from what will sound good with an amp. No need in buying two or three times to get what your after (like most of us here). Save up and buy what you want the first time. Or Ar least what you think you want LOL.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!

If I find an amplifier (not too thick) with good power, then I buy that too.
What speakers are then the best on the market?
And which amplifier should I choose?

The reality is you will not be able to achieve the first two things you're looking for without an amplifier. Even with an amp you'll need to remain realistic on your expectations of bass. 6.5" speakers are generally not subwoofers but full range speakers. The best speakers to achieve what you're looking for that I've heard are the Biketronics 7.1 Pros but they absolutely need an amp.

Knowing the bike would help. Also, why are you limiting yourself to 6.5?

It's a custom built speaker solution designed for 6.5".
The bike is a Honda Goldwing 1800.
I hope this is allowed in a HD forum ?

Man, I would have loved to have had 6.5" speakers on my GL1800's. Can you post a link to the product? I used Polk speakers and a Sony amp back in the day. I was always wishing there was room for bigger speakers.
