Default xm radio

I am wanting to hardwire my xm radio and have read numerous post on different set ups. Most i have read are tapping into cig lighter or behind the light. So my question is after that is done do i wire an 12v socket to that then just plug in xm power cord tape up and hide and leave in fairing or maybe someone can tell me some other options for my 2007 ultra thanks for any response

Yes. If you are using a portable xm you will have to leave the lighter adapter plug on the cord. Don't ask me how I know. On my 08 EG Classic there was pos and net spades on the headlight harness. I used them to pwr xm portable.

I did the same on my 08 SG. I am using the spare connectors on the headlight harness. I tried a couple of the aftermarket hard wire power supplies and they didn't last. I then went to using a spare cigarette lighter/power outlet hooked up and the OEM power adapter for the XM receiver. I taped everything up and haven't had any problems.
