Default Aftermarket Radio with BT 1005x

I am looking into an aftermarket head unit for my 09 Street Glide. Sony and Kenwood are at the top of my list. I need an install kit to use the hand controls. I have a Hogtunes amp with the Boom! Audio fairing and bag lid speakers. I know the speakers and amp are not the top of the line but it is what it is. I may upgrade them eventually but now I want to do the head unit but I don't want to spend the whole weekend cutting and splicing wires. Is the BT1005x really plug and play, or is there a better, easier install kit to use?? Thanks for the input.

BT is the way to go . I love my Kenwood not a Sony fan . BT no cutting wires its pricey but well worth it.
