Default How to "build" a plug and play kit?

I bought the RF PBR 300x2 Amp and Kappa's 62.11 speaker's. I would like to turn that into a plug and play kit for my 2015 FLTRXS. Any suggestion/part # for the Molex connector/pin,after market/home made braket, place to mount the amp, etc will be very appreciated.

Thank's

I ordered an extra 4 pin male and female connector, same as the factory rear speaker leads, to make a quick disconnect under the seat for my rear speakers. Works great. Entire order, with shipping was under $20.00. I would suggest shelling out a few more bucks and buying extra pins and connectors though. If you screw it up you're done. Removing the pins once they're inserted requires an extra tool that costs way more than a couple of new connectors.
Do a search you'll find everything you need. hope this starts you off right

That is the same exact setup I am installing and making plug and play on my bike right now.
You will need two 33481-0201 to go from the factory HU speaker outputs to the amp. You will need two 33471-0201 to go from the amp outputs to the factory speaker harness that runs thru the speaker pods to the speakers. I ordered a few extra of each to allow for me to screw a couple up. That turned out to be a wise move as I did just that. The terminal pins you will need are the 33012-2001 female and the 33000-0001 male. Mouser only sells those pins in multiples of 100. PM me you address and I will mail you some as I have plenty and you only need 4 of each. You have to really watch what wire you use with those Molex plugs as if the insulation is too thick, the wire will not slide down into the plug where you can seat the pin.

You can get a pin removal tool here for a LOT cheaper than one will cost thru Mouser. I also bought my wire from the same place only because I am **** and wanted wire colored to match the leads that came with the amp.

Matter of fact, if you can get by without screwing up a Molex connector, I just went out to the garage and looked and I have enough of everything you need left over to get you fixed up and running including wire.

I misspoke. I said that was the exact same setup that I was installing but I am actually using a RF T400x2ad amp. But that's close enough to the same that what I have will still work for your install too.

About the mounting spot and bracket. The only place to mount the amp inside the fairing is under the stock HU. I am having a buddy cut me out a plate on the water jet to mount the amp to and then mount the plate to the bracket that the HU sits on/mounts to spacing it down a bit with nylon bushings to help keep heat from radiating to the HU. The way I am doing it will require drilling 4 countersunk holes in the plate that the stock HU sits on. I am sure that there are other and possibly better ways to do but, after sitting and looking at everything before I started this whole deal, this was the plan that I came up with.

Have the power and ground ran in the wire tray under the tank to the battery. Have all my plug and play harnesses made. Just waiting on him to cut the plate now as that is all that is holding me up. I'm not going to rush or badger him about it as the price is right............... FREE. Unfortunately when he does my "charity" work, it takes a back seat to paying jobs.

[QUOTE=dirtracin23;13562311]About the mounting spot and bracket. The only place to mount the amp inside the fairing is under the stock HU. [QUOTE] That's not the only spot, many people simply use velcro and attach the amp to the top of the head unit, with no bracket required.

Maybe on a batwing but you're not going to velcro anything on the top of the HU on a '15 RGS which is what I and the OP have. There is barely any clearance between it and the fairing. Might not even be room for the velcro.
