Yeah - Those focals are only rated at 70 RMS. They won't last long with the 4180. No gain control.

Runing the 7.1's up top and the 6.5's in the lowers but the 61.11i's are in the rear pods but so far they seem to be OK have the fader +2 to the front.

I have read too many great postings from biketronics. I will be upgrading soon. I just haven't convinced myself on what head unit to go with.

If I'm just going with the fairing and tourpack speakers , can I get away with the 2 channel amp or do I need to get the bt4180? Will be making my purchase soon. Thanks.

what speakers? what amp?
if referring to BT2180 amp and BT speakers, yes.
you can run 2 4ohm speakers parallel per channel (result is 2 ohm).
would I do it that way? no :-)
with 2 channel amp you WILL LOSE fader option.

I only wanted the upper speakers and tourpak pods now I have the BT4180 and 7.1's in upper fairing and 6.5's in the lowers front channel and I have 62.11i's in the rear pods with the fader at +2-3 front.
Get the BT4180 this way you can always add more speakers later if you want.

SO many to choose from, with so many features...
BT, SOny, Kenwood, Pioneer, & Alpine to start....All has AM/FM.CD RADIO...
More has Bluetooth, HD radio, Pandora/Aha/I-heart, USB, Ipod, thumbdrive, XM Sirius Radio....DVD, whatever features you might need on the road. Good luck.

The bt4180 is only if your running 4 speakers right?
I have a BT 2180 but I'm only running fairing speakers.
Is this how it works?

For my BT4180, I'm running 6 speakers. I have my fairing and lowers running parallel into 2 chambers or whatever they're called and my lid speakers running into the other chambers.

Thing is though, eventually, you may want to add more speakers; therefore, the BT4180 is the way to go.
