Folks,
I have a motor for this bike. No carbs, or pistons. Everything else is there. It's a salvage motor and will fit 78-81 XS11's. If you know anyone who may be interested, I'm not asking anything for it. Just want/need it out of here.

Very stout motor back then,,, if I remember correctly it was 77 year, 78 year model when it first came out, I was working at a Yamaha/Penton dealer, after I got it out of the crate and put together, I took it for a test ride,,, man it was very fast stock compared to anything I'd ridden prior even over the 750 2 stroke triples Kaw had out or the XS 750 shaft drive Yamaha triple 4 stroker,,, yeah brings back memories.

I've tried ebay and got screwed two times. People win it, make arrangements to pick it up and handle payment at time of pickup which I was ok with and then never show.
I had visions of uilding a choppah out of it but would take a lot of work just to get it into running condition (for me anyway).
John, I keep toying with the idea of buying my old one back. It was a good bike with plenty of grunt. Got me a speeding ticket or two...
