Default Air ride suspension on a softail

I'm looking to add an air ride suspension to a 2009 softail rocker. I'm adding the Heartland kit and essentially want to kill the gap this new fender/seat setup will have. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of Air suspension works best overall on a softail? Which:
  1. has the most comfortable ride
  2. has the quietest/quickest compressor
  3. has the most travel settings (I want to slam it to the tire when parked)
  4. gauges/controls, etc.

I have a Shotgun system. Quick adjustments on the fly with the included switches JD mounts on a bracket. Some have mounted the switches in the dash.

almost everyone round here has shotgun, sas has a sale goin now 1395 not bad for a all in one deal, i really like its all in 1 package type , im sure pros and cons to each etc.
im gunna drill holes in fender to get a tad lower to tire if i can., also could get larger tire 250 or 260 both apparently fit , and a smaller bump stop( these will be winter mods)
congrats on the scoot its a great ride

Shotgun!!
Contact JD directly and after 5mins on the phone with him, you'll be sold.
Also JD's customer service and continued service after the purchase is awesome, he is always willing to help.

Yeah I love the rocker -- it's just such a cool looking bike!! You guys all have great looking bikes. Thanks for the responses.

Can you tell me what you mean by drilling holes to get the fender lower? And what is the bump stop? Thanks again.

Hawaii-Five-Jo: bike looks looks great! Did you increase the rake and/or raise the tank? What other mods? Thanks.

the fender comes w/ 3 or 4 predrilled holes i assume, i bought a used heartland fender, so i was thinkin drill out holes to let the fender drop about 1/2 to 3/4 "
i dunno we'll see, the bumpstop is under the battery, heartland gives u a new 1
so i had to buy 1 gives more travel when u want the "slammed look"

Thanks man, I got a 1.5" tank lift and just the basic upgrades pipes, a/c, tuner. Got the Shotgun setup and a few custom things here and there.
