HH,
Here's some pics. When not in use I tuck it in a convient niche on the clutch housing. The other is a pic of my exposed brake line . I'd do it via PM but I'm new and the editor there does not have the attach utility. Can somebody help.

BLKNCHRM09DELUXE,
Guess models differ...

I still don't know why dropping this type of shock is a big deal....because its NOT...Good Luck.
BLKnCHRME09Deluxe,
You got me real curious. I had not checked it in the slammed position. I found that there is minimal space, enough to make me nervous. I'm glad it held out this long. Scratch this idea, until I can find another fitting. Perhaps back to the banjo idea.

Many Thanks on your insight...may have avoided a problem.

Well after weeks of reading and decifering and finger pointing at the buy button finally my finger dropped and now I'm a shotgun rider.

Thankyou for all your input into this eagerly awaited upgrade.

E-bay contact very helpful with minor shipping (don't know if it was JD himself?)

I to will look at other hidey spots to keep gigs away.

Keepum comin.

Now tapping floor waiting for delivery.

Default Help... maybe.

Here are some pics of the compressor install on my shotgun shock. JD says they haven't been using this model compressor for very long so I'm hoping the group can confirm the proper placement/alignment.

Here is the bottom of the trans before.

Side view after mount

Again from a different angle. Power plug on top of compressor...

Bottom side..

Left side shot

Another from underneath

Please let me know If I'm on the right track here. The clearances are extremely tight.

Thanks for your help!!!

I believe you have it in backwards .. i have it in the other way...Shotgun sticker pointing towards the belt side...mine fits perfectly. Turn it around... also if its turned around the compressor is almost completely hidden.

check out this link of Chromedomes instal by "JD" scroll down about half way. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...with-pics.html

This thread just gets better and better.

I'm starting to think I'm glad I went with the Progressive 422. Not saying it's better - just easier to install.

That's what Beer is for! That way if the install takes too long, you can blame it on the beer. :P

BLKnCHRME09Deluxe,
and it has become easier. JD modified mine to accept bolts allowing the shock to wing down making installation and oil changes easier.

That's a pretty freaking good idea.

So you just need to unbolt it from one end now, and then it just rocks down on some kind of lever built into the other end of the shock mounting hardware?
