What oil ?

Check in the oil section and you'll get all the opinions you want. Personally, I won't use synthetic 20W50 oil in my transmission.........only gear oil.

I think you're just teasing us. You didn't really just start the 3,785,486th thread on oil, did you?

Congratulations on that new Road Glide. Why are you penny pincing it on the first service? The first service is very important for the warranty. This is the time you register any complaints or lodge questions for future reference if needed. There is no absolutely superiour oil on the market. They are all good whether synthetic or mineral base. The EPA guides how much additives to be added and they all have the same amount. I personally thing the synthetics are a superior oil in viscosity to mineeral base but I have over 100K on my Harley using only Harley 360. Ask the service department if you can furnish the Amsoil to be put in the bike. As I said, the first service is the most important and is the time for adjustments to be made and warranty concerns lodged for future reference. Fossil
