Has anyone mounted a 2010 WG license plate bracket on another Dyna??
I just got a 2010 Wide Glide factory license plate bracket with LED lights and want to mount it to my 06 Street Bob. It's like the Iron & Nightster's plate swings in and wired for LED lights. Probably to the belt guard bolt.
Has anyone manufactured a bracket/mount to do this? I was thinking a thick piece of steel plate Y'd to thread the belt guard bolt through. I'll try to get pictures of location and a drawing.

Found the thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...e-bracket.html. I know the 2010 WG has the mount part of the stock strut. So I'd like to get a fabricated bracket to mount to the belt guard. Sounds like a job for Jackyl his tank lift kit is a great mod. Here's the stock 2010WG http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US.../fxdwg/gallery

mounted bracket
Fabricated this up to mount the bracket to the belt guard bolt. Still not completed needs some small adjustments to make me happy. I made a connector that plugs into the stock taillight board. I got the parts from HD parts counter. This port is unused (FLH plug). From there the wires go along the underside of the fender with the stock wiring harness to under the seat. There I will make another connection to be able to disconnect for service (tire). Then along the swing arm to the 2010 WG stock LED lights. Ran up to the dealer today and clears and is stable. I plugged the hole in the fender with the HD logo caps for the seat and one for the aux light.

More pics of the wiring. I made my own harness with plugs under the seat for disconnecting. Ran the wires along the swing arm to the rear shock up to the seat. I used 2 large zips and 1 small one as a ring keeper midway down the shock coil. I used some 1/4" nylon mesh covering to wrap the wires( clean/protective).
