Default Saw an 09 St. Bob

I was actually pleasantly surprised. The silver motor was for some reason not as gawdy as it looks on the web site. I love the black wheels, but I still think the tail light looks like a hemorrhoid. But, I'm sure there will be something after market that will take care of that.

Your not far off, the tail light on the 09 Bob is generally refered to as a "Dog Dick" tail light - been around on "Old School" bobbers for awhile.

I saw the 09 yesterday at the local stealer, I am glad I bought a 08. I don't care for the tail light or the silver motor. Maybe it would look better if the whole motor was silver. Anyways some guy was looking at the 09 outside, when I got off my bike he asked me what year it was and I told him it was a 08, he then turned to the salesman and asked if there was any 08's left, which the salesman said no....He ended up buying a used Wide Glide

Our dealer here is terrible they still dont have a single 09 in stock. They are down to less than 10 bikes and 0 Dynas.

That tail light is a knock off of a Sparto tail light, it normally looks pretty good on bobbers but somehow Harley screwed it up, making it too big and mounting it too far down the fender.I'm also not fond of the way they cut the fender I don't understand how they can get the Nightster fender so right and screw up the Bob so bad.All they had to do was copy the nightster fender and it would have looked great.

Is the silver portion of the engine the same color as the nightster and are the cooling fins machined or rough?

Tell you the truth, I didn't look that closely at the engine. All I thought of was, they were going for the older pan/knuckle head look. They kind of pulled it off....kind of. If I happen across another one, I give it the full detail inspection, and report my findings directly to tne Dyna forum
