I use the OEM metal one with chrome top from my 2021 in my transmission. Same size as the plastic one.

Yeah, The oil dipstick can be difficult. I just don't tighten it real tight (finger tight) and make sure the o-ring has a bit of oil on it. Way better. I marked the stick and it never loosens up.

I think every dip stick I have had since 08 to now has been plastic for engine oil. Never been a problem.

I cannot see spending $60 bucks on a transmission dip stick to fix a problem that does not exist. I kind of like the fact that someone just cannot walk up and up the tranny dip stick by hand.

Don’t worry, I will find someth8ng else to waste $60 bucks on! lol

If any part of a plastic dip stick breaks off it won't do much damage to either the engine or transmission. The same can not be said of a metal dip stick, I am sticking with the factory pieces.

Ya plastic might not be so bad if it breaks, hard saying.
