The cooling wings won't do squat because they are in the wake of the lower fairing. Besides, I had them on a Road King and they didn't do a thing for buffeting.

I had suspected this thread to be started by a troll. Could be wrong though. Too much like the "my front fender is too small" thread running in parallel, and a one and done post. Still want to see their pics of the buffetting, or the rusty old frame. Hope that is not too agressive to ol' Gizmo, I will try to use more kinder and gentler sarcasm next time.

I tried the DK cooling wings to ease the buffeting and maybe a slight difference? Wearing glasses really distorts the view with the buffeting

Best thing I ever did to my 2011 SG to almost totally eliminate buffeting was installing lowers. If I had gone with a SG when I bought my '24, I would have picked up a full sized engine guard and lowers and figured out a way to modify it all to fit. In my experience, all that buffeting people complain about with the batwing comes from under the front/lower part of the fairing and up past/over the fuel tank. Lowers block all that very well (FWIW, this is why you don't have that with the shark - the fairing is wider, and extends lower, down near the cow bells).

I've had people tell me that fork fangs work for redirecting this airflow as well, but I never tried 'em myself as I don't like how they look.

This is exactly what I did to tame buffeting on my '22 Road King and it was the best performing. I tried fork fangs, the DK wings. I may try a set of those el'cheapo Amazon lowers (something like $99) since they're inexpensive enough to not worry about ruining them.
