All my bikes are on Deltran's Battery Tender while in the garage, except when they are work on.

Good advice from all. I recommend the CTEK 7002 because it is very versatile with multiple modes to choose from. You would need to get a pigtail adapter to connect to the stock lead.

My bike is plugged in all the time with a smart tender when I'm not on it. Winter I just leave it plugged in for basically six months and I've never had an issue.

thanks everyone I already purchase one and I think my bike will benefit from this because I only ride my bike on a weekend and sometimes if its raining my bike goes 2 weeks without being started .

I always connected my Harley’s to Delran battery tender when I parked them, as I never knew when I might go for a ride next. Same for my ‘15 Jaguar. BTW, nearly all the electronics in the Jag are in standby when it’s parked, and parasitic drain kills them.

When I bought my bike, they said to buy the 5 amp Battery Tender instead of using my 1 amp one.

They did not try to sell me one.

I don't use them in the summer, when I'm regularly riding my bikes. In the winter, they're each on their own Battery Tender all winter long with no issues. In both cases, I use the SAE connectors that were installed when I bought the bikes.

With my last two bikes, my dealer included a 'free' Harley brand charger. My Road King came with a 750 mA charger and he Road Glide came with a 1 Amp changer in a saddlebag. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...ger/p/66000304

During the summer, I only use it if I won't be riding for more than a week.. (Which doesn't happen often). I leave it on all winter when the bike is in storage. Occasionally I'll listen to the bike's stereo when I'm working in the garage. I plug in the charger while I'm doing that.

Stupid question... where are you guys running your lead on these new bikes? Mine is much shorter than previous bikes. Too short to run out the bottom, don't like it running out the top because it's in the way of the saddlebag latch, don't like it running out the front because it ends up on the hot primary.

My 2023 Street Glide from the factory has the lead out the bottom left side near the exhaust and it sticks out an inch. My old EVO I installed the lead sticking out just under the seat.
The new Harley Tender that came with my new bike the tender is like a wall wart and plugs directly into the wall outlet and is perfect length, no issues with my EVO but Ifor my car charging / maintaining I purchased a short ( 10' or15' outdoor rated drop cord) and place the larger box shaped tender on the floor in front of my car in the garage.
You can get longer leads or extensions online and perhaps even Walmart may have them as last I checked had a good selection of battery stuff locked in a glass case in the auto section.
