My prefered axial lube is KY jelly but if you gays are talking about MCs, grease is fine..

Crisco will do the job. All it is there for is to stop the axel from rusting and being hard to get back out next time. Crisco will do that.
Other than that, anti-seize if you got it. Any old grease if you don't. And Crisco if you got nothing else.
