I have two helmets.

For nice weather I use a Bell Pit Boss half helmet. For cold, wet, windy weather (or any combination thereof). I use a Sena Outrush modular. (Same as the Harley Outrush, but without the Harley logo.

check the manufacturer's websites..Bell state 2-3 years on some, Arai 5 , Shoei 5-7 and some are based on the 'born on' dates on the helmets and others start the expiration clock from the date first worn, etc. Many HD branded helmets are HJC, they put that on the HD website under Details.. I just keep it simple and toss em' at 5 years regardless..I ride a lot, sweat in them and my head is worth it, unless you ask my wife

I'm so stupid. I thought you said you 'were looking for a new helmet for your road glide'. I did'nt know they needed helmets.

I saw a RG review where they actually called the road glide the “helmet glide” because of how huge the fairing is. It was a reference to the star wars spin-off spaceballs dark helmet.

Shoei NeoTec 3 is a great helmet but a bit pricey. But its The best fitting and functioning helmet I have ever worn so the cost no longer bothers me. It does reduce wind noise significantly vs my decade old HJC modular, especially with the vents closed. The only bad thing i can say about it is the venting could be better. But it is a modular and the shield stays put wherever ya put it at any speed. In the 90 degree days we've had up here lately i ride with the visor up for the most part. 2 or three clicks up doesn't put the bottom of the visor in your line of sight. 2 clicks up gives significantly more venting. Its safety rated with the front open or closed if that matters to ya. It comes with a pinlock too. The GT Air 3 is the full face version. Both Cardo ready but i think it needs an adapter.
