Purchased the HD dongle to be able to use hill hold in neutral and also found a dongle from Tim's Audio that does the same thing but will also bypass the kickstand position. I installed the dongle from Tim's and took it to the dealer to have the feature enabled (flashed).
Dealership indicated their Digital Technician could not find the dongle and it can't be programmed. Understanding this thing is not a HD part I did not argue and arranged a replacement with Tim.
I removed the dongle and rode the bike for a short time after getting home. I am now getting a kickstand down warning with it in the up position, a kickstand symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the display and a check engine light.
Codes are:
ECM - P150200
EHCU - U040100
My assumption is the dealer was able to activate the feature without realizing it since I never received all of these faults before. Yes, I will be plugging the Tim's dongle back in or maybe just plug the HD one in to see if everything clears.
I tried to research the codes I received with no luck. Does anyone have the description for these codes or a list of DTC's for our 2024's?

Too bad one can't get a straight answer to a simple question around here. A "dongle" is a converter, adapter, connector typically used to join two electronic devices or modify logic circuits. There are so many variations depending on use that the general term is used to indicate some sort of adapter is needed to accomplish a certain task. A "pig tail" was the common term for basic electric functions such as the pigtail supplied by Harley to make the passing lights stay on when high beam was selected in the pre-CAN bus bikes.
I am a non-geek type so others more knowledgeable than I might add more detail or clarification. I use "geek" in a respectful manner as people who know far more about computers and electronics than I ever will. My son came home from high school one day and asked, "Do you what you call a geek in 20 years? BOSS". That says it all.
