Oil Change Mileage Reset

You guys are all a bunch of arm-holes.
My 2013 BMW R1200RT had an oil change minder that, unless you had a special gizmo (which I did), you'd have to take to the dealer to reset. So why reset it (use "trip B" or whatever snarky response)? Because it would cause a warning light to turn on that couldn't be turned off any other way if I recall correctly. Does this new one work like that? Wouldn't surprise me given how HD money grubs at every opportunity (like a $900 first oil change and "bolt torquing" ritual inspection).

So the newer bikes have an oil change reminder? Or just two trip meters?

BTW, on our Alpha Romeo, the oil change reminder can't be reset except by dealer. So...I know the feeling.
