zero is fine! Rounders said I can be a dick on the internet... Actually I think the new bars is the golden banana that sells them. They have a killer riding position.

I’ve been riding since the early 80’s and I’ve had 3 road kings in the past 20 years. I always wanted a street glide and I finally got a 24 in April. Best bike I’ve ever owned. I never even considered a Road Glide. Sorry guys, but they are butt ugly. They look like somebody welded a Volkswagen bug on top the handlebars of Softail. I’m happy for you if you own one, but I definitely don’t see it. 😎

Nope. The RG was the accidental result of a drunken night of debauchery shared by a Miata and a Road King.

No need to justify one’s preferences. Ride and enjoy whatever suits you.

Ok I will weigh in. For me it is all about fit. Having test rode both in 2019, I chose the SG. Also, if I am being honest, I just like the looks of the SG much better. But as previously stated, just ride what you like, but please just ride! Ride hard, ride safe!

RG slow take off after the tour Glide was predictable. People for the most part don't what to get out of the box. Take the safe bet even if it is not.

Some of us went for the RG. By 2007 it was growing steady. 2011 with release of RGU and new market opened up. 2015 Rushmore brought many that had been on the fence over. The growth has not stopped.
Now the RG is consider cool so it is ok to buy one.

For a long time safe bet was a Black Batwing in one form or another. That time has pasted.

In 2007 wife and I rode a 2004 RG loaner. 2 weeks latter purchased a new 2007 RG and never looked back.

I’ve mentioned this several times on this forum and others. When I bought my first Road Glide in 2012, they could barely sell one. Fast forward to now and it’s the best selling Harley.

I like to think we just ahead of the curve way back then.
