One thing about the internet and replies to forums is that without face to face contact you can't see voice inflection and posture. I dont know how many times someone has said to me, "no way man....thats BS". But based on personal knowledge, posture and voice you can see it is light hearted kidding.

You got a 2024 SG for 26k! No way man....thats BS!

It can be taken two ways. One is hostile. The other is surprise at the price.

I paid 5k more than you out the door for the same bike. That’s crazy I didn’t know you could negotiate in a brand new 24. Is this a brand new one or was it used? Any cosmetic issues? Wish I would have shopped around knowing this.

dude buy it for that price if you haven’t already. You could probably sell it in a year and not even take a loss. What state are you in? This comment made me check around on prices and in Michigan every dealer pretty much sticks with the MSRP plus taxes title fees.

Actually, I was wrong...............It's more like $35,000 out-the-door ......................in Idaho.

I won't pay anything above MSRP out the door for any Harley Davidson. Thats what I've always paid. If a dealer won't do it I walk. If you can get it lower even better which I always try and do. People need to realize even at that price they are making money. Must have patience and stick to your guns. Don't let the latest and greatest brand new model like the 2024 RG cloud your judgmen. Salesmen love the first excited crowd that comes running through the doors when there's a new model or model redesign. They always pull the fear tactics and say things like "better get it before it's gone" and "alot of people are calling on this bike" and "this is a hot bike" "we can't come down on the price" Don't fall for it. Yes they can. That $26k and some change OTD the OP mentioned sounds like a good price. Do it.

I definitely made the mistake of not shopping around a little. I didn’t know on a new 24 model there was any room. But apparently there is, I saw a few slightly used 24 listed from another dealer at 22k, and the trade in value of these new bikes is around 20k.

Yeah don't feel bad they're good at getting people. At least you know now for down the road. But you just got a killer new bike so it will be a long time until you have to wheel and deal. Just enjoy your ride.

To me that sounds like a great price. If a dealer near me in California gave me the that price out the door, I would take it. Even though I'm happy with my current bike, sounds like a great deal !!!!!

Why not go to Laidlaw's? They sell at MSRP or less.

Ok This is what some of you guys got to understand... Price varies what part of the country your in...I have read on many post in the past, guys saying with problems with their bike.... but the dealership is 100 miles away. or something to that affect. Here in Connecticut {danbury} I have 6 dealerships with in a 45 min to one hour dive. And trust me getting a bike for msrp is a big deal.....swifty

I just wanted to add this..... .... when I would go down to Florida to see my family . I would stop at Orlando harley,,, they had more used bikes in the parking lot , than 3 dealerships up here had new and used..... sale volume, vary state to state. Some do good business on volume . Others on individual sales. What it comes down to...... you are happy with your bike !!!!!
