Hopefully you will keep us updated on the durability after putting some miles on it.

I am sure it will not hold up like regular bed liner. It will at least be black in the spots near the mounting bolts and not standout as bare aluminum. By the way I used Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Liner. I expect nicks on the plate facing the road. Time will tell.

OK I have about 500 plus miles on it! 100 in heavy rain..... not been cleaned and washed. I did take a damp towel and wipe the skid plate. So far... it seems to be OK.
Time will tell. No regrets so far!

It looks great with the textured black paint. Nice job. The only problem I have with this plate is that it will choke the radiator outflow. I'm sure I'm overthinking this, but it seems like it would work fine with larger slots cut into it (it should stay solid up front where it matters).

Way over thinking it. There are inches of gap around the plate.

I was already planning on this after reading the thread but sold on the idea of a skid plate after hitting a few unexpected speed bumps on a road.

so hopefully it’s here this week

One of the first things I did on mine, too. Seems like a no-brainer.
