Default Street Glide Handlebars

Hey everyone. I picked my brand new Street Glide this weekend. I like the looks and layout of the Street Glide over the Road Glide but man do I like where the Road Glide handlebars put your hands. What size handlebars would I need to get to mimic the Road Glide location? Thanks for your input.

I think the tall boy bars are about as close as you’ll get. They are identical as the street glide bars, just about 3” taller.

The fused are wide and the wrist angle is flat. I could not turn lock to lock without having to reach WAY forward and my hand nearly coming off the bar. That’s just me though.

good point and I could see how that could be a problem for some ... I have long arms so could manage and I like the design and assume there is some slight pullback adjustability? but losing the advantage of the fairing hand protection on taller bars is a bummer..but of course fit and feel and comfort are of first and foremost importance

I need additional height and, since I installed a Corbin seat, a little more pullback. I’m having these installed on Wednesday:

I was told that the stock bars are 8 inches high.

I have a new street glide with the tall boy bars. They are just right and don’t look goofy. They look like they belong on the bike. I’ve seen other examples where the bars extend past the fairing and I hate that look, doesn’t look right.

Only downside is they cover the integrated fairing mirrors which was a big plus for the street glide. So if you want to use your mirrors you need the handlebar mounted ones like on the road glide. Still looks way better than a road glide though

by the way if your a taller rider like me, the mustang seat puts you back 2 inches and is very stylish compared to the tallboy seat. It’s a good bar seat combo for taller riders

It sounds like tall boys might be the way to go. Unfortunately I am not a tall boy. I’m about 5’9’. Will I have problems with low speed lock to lock turns with these? Hopefully I can roll them back a little.

Thanks for the feedback!!
