If you really want a 24, walk in with the cash, tell them that you want to speak to the sales manager in private. If they play games, walk.

Like others have said, you may not get a discount off MSRP, but there are lots of Harley parts, clothes, future services and extended warranties.

In private with the sales manager, tell him/her that you're interested in a 24 SG. Then pull the envelope out of your pocket and show them the wad. Put it back in your pocket and tell them no games. Then ask what can you do for me. Don't accept the first couple of offers. Just remember after seeing the cash, if you leave, they will call you at home.

I stopped by my local dealer, about 4 miles from my house to check pricing on the 24SG. There were asking 5k over MSRP. I laughed and walked out. Called a dealer about 50 miles from my house, that I’ve purchased from in the past and they were willing to deal. Stopped by a few days later and pulled the trigger on a black on black 24 SG. Dealer threw in Factory 47 bars, grips, and installation. OTD at 31k. Should be taking delivery on Wednesday

Any advice on negotiating? I’ve never bought a new Harley before so I’m not familiar with what they will negotiate on and what they won’t. I can pay cash or finance and pay it off quickly if there is an incentive to do that. Any advice is appreciated.
I laugh when people think they will get a better deal paying cash when in fact the dealerships prefer financing. When in fact they would prefer you finance because it means more money for them. I finance it and make sure there is no prepayment penalty and pay it off .

go late in the day on the last day of the month, if on a Sunday even that much better .. they will be a little extra motivated to unload a last minute deal

Have a bottom line out the door and stick to it. Right now if it were me this is probably something like MSRP + $500 + taxes. How they write it up is their concern. If they don’t accept your max, walk. Don’t waste their time or yours. I can’t believe some people sit at a desk for four hours and go home with nothing. Like the dealer is going to change their mind if the customer sticks it out.

2023 model, well that would be another story. Already getting the low interest rate/discounts/accessory credit emails for those.

As Grouser stated go in with a price in mind and the attitude if they won’t meet it, you’re out of there. Most of the dealers are flooded with 24’s and sitting on a bunch of 23’s. Myself, my approach was and is, here’s my price I will pay OTD, plus sales tax and registration. If you can do it fine, if not I’ll find someone that will. Two things though, you have to be willing to travel and don’t fall in love with it. I just bought a 23 Road Glide for $21,999 earlier this month using this method.
