Yeah, I agree. The only issue I have with that video is that they're pouring the oil out the wrong way!!!

It's not that I don't trust it. In my 2017, I used it for 30k miles exclusively in all three holes. When I switched from SYN3 to Mobil1 in the engine, I noticed two differences: reduced cost and reduced top end noise.
In the 2024, when I put SYN3 in the engine, I noticed a big difference in felt heat. I will not be putting SYN3 back in. I'd prefer to find a more readily available dino oil than HD's. I don't consider it worth the extra cost and the 1.25 hour roundtrip to get it when I have an auto parts store 15 minutes down the road.

At this point, I probably will go ahead with the HD 360 and F+, but who knows.

This has been a long thread but interesting, who would have thought that you could have a thread about oil! All **** aside, Im with Brandon, Im not running HD oil because I don't want to have to go to the dealer to buy it. Now that we actually had a nice discussion about oil and preferences, I think I will run my bike another 500 miles and just replace the fluids with Mobile1. It corrected my primary problems in a couple of miles, so I might as well run it in the engine as well. I may stick with the RED Line in the gear box because, between the Mobile1 and the Red Line gear oil, the bike shifts smoother than any Harley I have had.

No Joke. Ran this (dino oil) in the '00 S/E Road Glide's primary until I retired her at 172,000 miles (still with the original chain and clutch plates.)

Gentle Rider I guess

I used to pay $2.59 / qt. It's now $4.48

Well .. We all know each of us has our own favorite flavor ..

For me cost and behavior .. remember my bikes are usually pretty high miles .. this 2024 bought on May 2 24 already has 11k on it.

Engine - Mobile 1 20/50
Tranny / primary = HD Formula+

Reasonable cost and performance.
Id probably use Harley dino in the engine if I didnt live in the south.

I now have close to 17,000 miles using the factory fill fluids..it's quiet, not needing to add oil, and felt heat has not been an issue .. one of the most welcome improvements, despite now using a K&N SE AC, is there is no dirt inside the AC getting past the AF, I mean damn near spotless between cleanings .. this also tells me the engine oil and oil filter are not getting thrashed from airborne contaminates

This is the oils I have used in my current and previous three bikes:

Engine: Mobil1 V-Twin 20W-50
Transmission: Mobil-1 75W-90 gear oil
Primary: HD Formula+

No issues, works great.

Pretty sure most pour it in the "wrong" way. Also sure there is a little picture on the bottle as to the "right" way.
