The new X series Thunderheader for M8 is not as loud as the previous model but any exhaust is going to be loud on a big bore engine, but not like a D&D.

A lot of debate over the jackpot end cap. Most prefer the straight v.s the turn down. I decided to stay with the turn down. It directs the hot exhaust away from my bags. Probably wouldn’t make a difference but …..

Admittedly I'm in the UK, but I looked into various pipes, some with a ceramic option, some not, and I found a local ceramic company who could do it for about a third less than the factory option and they'd turn it around in a week. Sure to be an independent finisher somewhere near you.

If I went with the Jackpot Riot I think I'd be tempted to get it with the straight end cone and leave that bare stainless but cera coat the rest. That would look great. Fuelmoto also sell universal carbon heat shields which will fit the jackpot.
Gotta say, the Jackpot on @BlueridgeXL 's LRS look really good. I tend to favour the fully blacked out look but that does look proper nice. It would look equally good with carbon heat shields.

Another option if you've got deeper pockets is the Burns NhB. The Softail system looks low enough to accept bags, or I guess you could fit the M8 bagger system, which is already ceramic blacked and offers the option of a long can or a mega and they support 12 or 18 mm O2 sensors. Supposed to be a top system for big bores.

I have a real ceramic coater local to me. Swain Tech near Rochester ny. They do real ceramic coating. Places like jet hot are just hi temp paint with ceramic partials in it so the can claim its ceramic. Yes it will reduce temps some but not like Swain Tech. Swain tech is actual ceramic that takes a month to apply. What your done its white. You have to paint it to get a color. If you ever see white headers on a race car that's swain tech. It would put me into september befor I could ride and thats only if they dont put salt down. September oct is the end of our season usually. Ill ask them if they can coat on a used system.
