I briefly owned a 2004 Softail Standard a few years ago the high frequency buzz on it was really bad sold it to a friend he didn't keep it long either .

I had a pucker moment in the rain LIGHTLY accelerating out of a corner on a wet road with stock tires. I replaced the tires with a Cruisetec on the front and an Avon Cobra Chrome Radial on the rear. I'm hoping the greater traction of the radial will help compensate for the absence of traction control.

I come back to the subject of moving from a Heritage to an RKS
As I mentioned above, I am tempted to buy a Touring again and in this case a Road King Special in black, and as I cannot sell my 107 Heritage from 2018 which was advertised for 6 months and my 114 Low Rider S from 2020 for 2 months, they both have 25,000 miles (sales of used Harleys are very difficult at the moment in France), I went to see a dealer who offered to trade my two machines for an RKS new without additional money on my part...
What do you think ?

Two cool softails for one cool touring bike, dead even trade? No wonder your dealer is jumping at it.

It's certainly beneficial for him, he'll make margin on 2 bikes instead of one, but it's beneficial for me too, like I said, I've been trying to sell my Heritage for over 6 months and the Low Rider for 2 and a half months and I have had almost no touch, the price of my two machines on the advertisements is within 1000€ of that of the RKS, knowing that I ride 15000 miles per year, the Heritage that I had decided to keep will have 40,000 miles in a year and will depreciate even more, I pay two insurances and as I can no longer afford to keep two machines, I tell myself that it could be a good deal, I'm starting on a new one and on a model that I've always liked...

It’s hard to privately sell a bike in Australia too at the moment, I see the price sellers advertise their bikes versus what the dealer is selling 2nd hand bikes for & it’s no wonder they are hard to sell privately.

I traded my 2021 HC on a 2024 SG, dealer gave me $25000 for my bike & I saw it advertised on their website for $26000 including rego & warranty, pretty much kills the private market in my opinion.

Interesting. Are you still in France? I'm just wondering what it's like to try and sell a Harley Davidson in France. Do you speak French?

Used Harleys are hard to sell in Arkansas too . Had a friend who tried to sell his 21 Heritage for a year he had it lowered to $13,000 still nothing . He finally sold it to a dealer for $12,000 . As far as trading two bikes for one that's up to you . I can tell you I've done it twice both deals worked out fine.

I'd say, go for it.
it seems like a win-win situation.
Dealer gets economic win and one fewer 2024 bike on the sales floor, and you get peace of mind win and less insurance, taxes, etc for next year.
Autum and winter probably wont help for private sales in France.

I would try to get some accessories for the RKS included in the deal, though.
