Harley's Sundowner is a remarkably nice seat, especially for the price.
Visit a dealer and you can test it out on your bike for a long ride, for free.

Before plopping down some green on a new seat, take a look at The Comfort Triangle. Written report and video below.

It is quite possible that current foot and hand placement are the source/partial source of the seat not being comfortable on long rides.

I've had Corbins. Bought one over a year and a half ago, and after 5000 miles, I sold it. It never fit correctly on the bike, and the workmanship was less than standard than on other Corbins I've owned over the years. Customer service offers the same answer, "Ride it for a few thousand miles......". That did nothing for the fitment on my FLHRXS. I've had at least three other Corbins, and never had less customer service than I had on this last one. and as far as comfort, even after 5k, it still never felt "broken in"....one but cheek felt ok, the other felt miserable after a day of riding. I'm guessing poor QC.

I have sent seats to Mean City with good results. I chose not to go this way, and on the advice of a friend, I bought a Lucky Daves Get Lucky seat. I have put almost 8000 miles on that seat since I installed, and could not be happier. Their customer service was great, and the salt looks great.

All this is just my .02, and it really is up to you to make the call.....got to rallies and try some seats from the vendors. Other than that, roll the dice and take a chance.

Try Harley Hammock. Works great for me. Free test at your dealer. You can compare to sundowner.

When I bought my Heritage dealer had another Heritage with a Hammock seat on it . I didn't ride it but it felt good just sitting on it .

Russell Day Long... I inherited one with my old BMW R1200RT and it was one of the most comfortable and supportive seats I've had. Corbin was okay on other bikes, but I thought that Sargent was better in the long run.

Ditto. Expensive but the best there is. Mustang was just ok until I took a chance on RDL. Did a short test ride on a Corbin and was hard as a rock.
