Here’s mine. I routed the hose to the other side of the bike, enlarged the cutout for the wiring on the little plastic side cover, and used a p-clamp to aim it to the ground off the saddle bag bracket mount.

I used 3/8 vacuum hose looped over the shock to ground. After 200 miles there's nothing coming out of the end. Can probably run the hose to the air cleaner for the vacuum there. Right cover just needed a small coner nipped off to clear the trans cover, the left cover, I didn't modify, hose is probably touching so will keep an eye on it.

I actually really like this hose routing I might redo mine. And yes, just keep an eye on that left side cover. They’re kind of sharp and it presses into the hose pretty good

Route the hose to the right and up and over, you'll find a path if you go with this.
Does the stock VVT routing take it back to the air cleaner?

yes, they got a molded hose that routes it to the back of the air cleaner.

I wonder if this is just an EPA thing or does it also help the function of the trans cover breather.

So does #29400448 come with the gasket? Anything else you would need to fit this on a 20' RG?

yes it comes with the gasket all you need is some 5/16” hose and a hose clamp. That’s it
