this was the best mod yet to my LRS...FORWARD CONTROLS
Quarter Fairing
new rear fender once i gets finalized and painted.
then the exhaust and tune
then the FOX shock

point is, no single bike is PERFECT for every person...the S had items i wanted, i was intending to purchase an older 200 rear night train and build it...then i saw the S sitting close by and in the end, it should save me some money and time...but we all know that is far from the truth.

Forward control difference for those wanting to see it

Rear fender, exhaust, lowered

Fox shock installed

Thanks Durham, proves he's full of sh%t. Same wording in both posts. Don't know why he has a axe to grind, but this shows people should take his posts with a large grain of salt.

The switch to forward controls seems counterintuitive to the whole platform. It's meant to be ridden HARD. These bikes need a tall rear shock and a sticky tire. To each their own!

I wrote a post two years ago that is consistent with the UPDATED one I wrote yesterday. Good god, what have I done!

On a side note, uh, what exactly is your point there, Detective Obvious?

point? Don’t have one. What I do have is memory. I have been part of many threads that I have heard the same bull come from your pie hole. Including the one I posted. Or maybe you are that stupid to go test ride a st after the bad experience you had with the s. Try a Diablo, that red paint looks real comfy.

Harley was on the right track with the Lowrider S and with some nice revisions came out with the Sportsglide which is the bike I really liked . But the dumb asses at Harley had to discontinue it for the American buyers only .

Harley just doesn’t know how to listen to the customers and make changes or small revisions and continue to market a bike . They look at the first years sales and if there not 100% great , like hitting the ball out of the park . They trash the model the next year . And this really really sucks for the customers that do like the bike. And think it can use just few more improvements before they buy it , at its second generation just like a car or truck.

The Lowrider ST to me definitely needs forward controls like the Sportsglide a much more comfortable seat and a 2 inch more pullback on the bars . To be just a little better then the Lowrider S
BUT then they would also have the change it name back to the SPORTGLIDE .

Very well said. I suspect H-D was intent on the "club / west coast style" and lost sight of the riding position. Or more likely, they realized the problem but had no solution the accountants would accept.
