Wow this thread turned ugly quick
As the owner of a LRST I can say I though I had made a HUGE mistake and was thinking of selling/trading it a week after owning it. Now after Mini-Floorboards, and 6.5" risers ($628) it's got me me pondering it over my beloved 2020 Fat Bob.
I think there are 3 types of LRST buyers (and maybe the same for all Harley models)

I think there are 3 types of LRST buyers (and maybe the same for all Harley models)
- Buyer A - Bought it, loves it, sings it's praise to anyone who will listen.
- Buyer B - Bought it, wanted to love it, hated it, sold it, posts every chance about how it didn't work for them.
- Buyer C - Bought it, needed to change a few things to make it fit them, likes/loves it, posts about what they had to do to make it work.

For what it's worth, I thought I would have to sell my LRS after three days of ownership because of the pain it was causing my back (I have a lower back problem). I wasn't uncomfortable on the test ride. It was cramped compared to the Sport Glide I rode as well but it wasn't terrible by any means and I thought the extra performance and fun was worth picking the bruiser over the armchair. It was after I'd got it back home and ridden some longer rides on bumpy roads that I'd thought I'd made a terrible mistake.
Then I changed the seat to a Tallboy. So much better. Then I rolled the bars back in the clamps to bring them closer. Better again. And I realised small and considered tweaks would deal with any issues and I needed to live with it a while.
There's still lots of things I'm planning to do but if I hadn't bought the LRS it would have been a Heritage or a Fat Bob and there were things I would have changed on those as well. In fact, I've never owned any bike of any make that I haven't modified in some way. That's part of biking for me.
I do have a vehicle I've bought and just used, never doing anything to it but service and pour fuel into it. It's called a van.

I am out to pasture. The cud is fabulous. With a Stage II upgrade to my Heritage. Love the look of the ST, but not for me.
