M8 Softail is the best mainstream Harely, Harley has ever made.
I absolutely love my Fat Boy.

The tank graphics on that bike are striking!

Welcome to riding Softails. I went from riding Softails to a 2018 Street Glide Special. It was a nice bike, but not really for me. Went to a Fatboy a few years ago and don't regret it one bit.

I also have just made the move to a softail, a 2016 Heritage Classic. I'll be turning 82 this summer and decided that, before I started having problems handling my 2015 Ultra Limited and possibly hurting myself, I should downsize and continue riding as long as I can. This is my 7 th harley and I'm really looking forward to many miles on the heritage.

I was a Touring guy, and I swapped to a Softail M8 last november, I don't regret it, I found the pleasure of riding a motorcycle in the twistys that I had lost on my Road King...

how long have you had the kodlin piece installed ? i am looking at going that route n LRS.

How was the install ? probably have a local suspension shop squeeze the setup and swap the piece on, local HD dealer doesnt have a compressor for the springs

About a year - my shop bought their compression tool and he said it was a very nice piece and it would come in handy since he planned to refer the lowering block to his customers. The suspension feels identical after having it installed and the drop is perfect for me.

Congratulations.

Softails are easy and fun riding bikes. I don't miss touring at all - been there, done that. I hardly use my truck all summer now, only during inclement weather or large loads. I do all my errands on my Heritage. Bags are great for smaller items.

Congrats. I was on a Road Glide for 12 years, then went to a big Beemer for 1.5 years, now on the Street Bob. I love it. I came to the reality I don't need a touring bike anymore. I got some Biltwell ExFil 36 throw over bags for the Street Bob and can carry enough stuff for a 4-5 day camping trip. I'm golden now.

I made the switch from a '21 Road Glide to this Low Rider S. Loved the RGS, but honestly, switching to my current bike and modifying how I wanted was the best automotive decision I've ever made. I can still comfortably put in 3-5hr days of riding on crushing highway miles, but every bit of twisty goodness is 20x more fun on these lighter bikes. I also really enjoy the more "raw" experience of riding without the fairing, speakers, GPS, etc...

I'll be doing some homework.
Saddlemen step up moves you up and forward.

C&C moves you down and back, and is shaped for humans to sit on, unlike the step up seats with their 90* angles for Minecraft characters....
