Default Tire Pressure (there’s an app for that)

I was talking to a buddy of mine about the infotainment system on the RGS I was looking at and how I have GPS and BT and Phone all piped into my helmet but the one thing they have that I don’t for my heritage is the tire pressure monitoring system…well my Heritage has that now as well.

Leepee BT 5.0 TPMS off Amazon for $38

No more rolling the bike back and forth and me rolling on the ground to check tire pressure…I have an app for that!

Great idea.
Have you tested it against a gauge for accuracy?

Yes...It's right there with my air gauge except with tenths of a pound and tire temps.

Are they waterproof? I've used a similar product in the past. Shouldn't the wheels be rebalanced after adding the extra weight?

That's cool and I would be willing to pay more if they were made somewhere else.

Yes. They are waterproof. The internal circuitry and cr1632 coin batteries screw into the cap and then have a locking snap cover.

The weight is inconsequential as it pertains to balancing.

I was considering getting one of these, but my tires leak air so slowly that for me it's a solution looking for a problem.
Plus if my rear tire starts getting lower, I can tell by how it rides.
Below 36PSI its very noticeably different than the 42PSI I run it at normally.

I check my cold tire pressure every 3 weeks, and totally forgot about a TPMS.

FOBO was about $100 and the reason it was more expensive was the same reason why I preferred the LeePee system and that reason was because the fobo caps come with a receiver instead of an app and that would be yet another dodad looking for a permanent home on my bars.

I like that I have Google maps, XM radio and 2way phone capabilities with just a QD cellphone on my Quadlock mount and now I have an app for tire pressure as well.
