I had the exact same problem with my 2016 Harley. I did the Stage I myself and after flashing the map my entire Speedo stopped working . The bike was still under warranty and at the time I thought it was a Harley issue ? Dealer took my FP3 and flashed back to the original factory map and the problem went away . So it was the Fuelpak , Dealer actually called Vance and Hines and they downloaded a patch and admitted there was a bug in the FP3 program . Service Dept. was at New Castle Harley in Pa, a great dealership and service Dept. to do business with . Also someone replied you do not need to flash a new map with a Stage I upgrade ? Here is why I disagree , a high flow air filter and much more open pipes will allow much more air to the system, I think you would want the air/fuel mixture to be adjusted as to prevent a to lean condition harming the engine . Maybe the new ECM's will adjust as compared to the older ones, I really do not know ? Also my experience after doing several Stage ones is the Decel popping will drive you crazy, unless you like that , the new tune will eliminate most of that .
