But the bags on the RKS can come off and there's no fairing.

Not to hijack the thread, but I rather want to know where Breaker80 got/made those hard cases and mounts. Those are sweet

Just picked up and rode home my Low Rider ST today.

Just some quick observations that I haven’t seen in other posts or reviews…. Keep in mind that I am 5’7” with a 30” inseam.

- The mid mount controls are uncomfortable for me. I am more used to forward floorboards. I notice that the mid mounts make me sit with all the weight on my ischial tuberosities ( you’ll need to look it up to get the right anatomy). As such, riding for more than an hour becomes uncomfortable. I’ll install the forward controls with mini floorboards.
- The handlebars are too far forward for me, and make me feel like I need to stretch to reach the bars. Likely I’ll go with a lower riser and get the adjustable Helibars. I had the Helibars on my SGS, and they made the ride perfect as I could adjust them to my specific body shape.
- The fairing is AMAZING! Perfect amount of wind deflection, and absolutely ZERO BUFFETING! Coming off my Street Glide, there was always some amount of buffeting at higher speeds (even with fangs and aftermarket windshield). You really have to try it to believe it. Perfect bubble with a slight amount of wind (from the ports) and zero turbulence.
- The bike is light an maneuverable. I was unsure if just a 100 lb difference from my SGS would be that noticeable, but the difference is dramatic.
- The 117 gives the bike a real punch! Certainly not a sport bike by any means, but head and shoulders above any other Harley I’ve ridden.
- I’ve owned a Softail Slim, a Road King, Fatboy, and Street Glide Special. The LRST is by far the best bike I’ve owned.

There is a lot of hype about the LRST. For me, the hype is true.
