I've got to confess, I've never much liked the ST. It's that fairing. Just looks all wrong to me.

But I called in to the local dealership today and they had a Fast Johnnie ST in the showroom. Pics don't do it justice and in the flesh I thought it looked fantastic. The white stripe ties the tank and the fairing together.
Good job they didn't they didn't have one when I bought my LRS or I'd have talked myself into spending another two grand.

Anyone bought one?
Anyone love it/hate it?

Anybody installed the rear fender Fix? I'm giving it serious thought. Comes primered, would need to paint. I'd like to see how the wiring is plug and play or whether soldering/depinning is needed etc. I've also never pulled the rear fender--will check the service manual on that. Any videos on rear fender removal and install?

Removing the rear fender is really easy, just 6 bolts. 2 bolts are on the inner side and the 4 you can see on the sides. Personally, I remove the the 4 bolts that hold the fender horns on and then take it apart. It is so much easier than trying to work around the rear wheel. Don't know about any videos though.

Anyone recommend a seat that sits higher?

I hate the sit down and poo position weee my knees are above my hips.

i like the mid controls but would like to sit higher so my knees are below my hip.

Any off the shelf seats or do I have to go custom?

Tallboy seat works well for me. Vast improvement on comfort over the stock seat because of the extra height but it's a lot more roomy as well. Doesn't cup you like the original and offers a useful amount of shuffle room.

Looks a touch bulky and I'd have preferred it in a solo version but I can overlook that as it makes the bike so much more comfortable.

Better looking is the Sport Glide seat which will fit straight on but I'm unsure how much it lifts you up.

I have the Sport Glide seat on my FXLRS, lift a little bit and better than the stock one, but not enough for me, with 34" inseam, my legs are still too bent, but I will mount mini floorboards before changing the seat, will see if it fits, if not I will have to choose between the Tallboy and the Sundowner...
I wonder if the seat of the standard Low Rider is better than the Sport Glide one...

The Saddleman Pro is about 3/4” taller maybe. It feels taller to me.

Well got the bike back together and rode to up to shreveport this weekend for a gathering. After the ride, i came to the conclusion my 6" risers aren't quite enough. They are adequate but don't allow me to run hand guards and would like a hair higher bars.

I think it puts you forward too, and in my case it is not a good solution, I would like to be a little bit higher and also further back...

Consider the Thrashin pullback adapter plate. The one for the RoadGlide fits the Low Rider ST. Moves bars 2 3/8 up and 1 5/8 back. Will need to add length to brake line and likely clutch. Extensions to the four wires that run from the bars to the connections under the tank.
