Everything Low Rider ST Thread

you are right, I don't like the idea of having a fix fairing, I prefer to be able to take it off and ride in the open air. But for those who prefere a fix fairing the FXRT is a good option too...
About the clamshell bags, I had a Sport Glide last year, but while I don't really like this opening system, I found the load capacity relatively decent and the wobble was not too high, on the other hand, the quick-release system is really well thought-out and practical. but I don't like the way they're mounted on the ST, in my opinion they're too high on the bike and I prefer the lower Sport Glide-style mounting like on the baggers.

The ST bags sit high to accommodate the 2:2 pipes. If you have a 2:1 system you can apparently replace the inner shells of the ST bags with Sport Glide shells and then the bags will sit where they do on the Sport Glide:
By the way, it is the inside shell of saddlebags that determine how they sit on the bike. That's the difference between the Sport Glide and the ST bags.
The saddle bags if you piece them together will cost $2837.34 + tax. It would be less expensive to order the complete bags, but I could only find them for the LRST. FXLRST Saddlebags - Vivid Black $1,499.95 Part Number: 90202534DH. The SG inner panels are about $600 if that's what you want. Plus their vivid black already.

Hey @Calif Fat Bob ! I did end up getting the 10" KW Shield a while ago - I'm keeping this one. I'm 5' 9" and it is working very well. The fit is excellent and it does a great job keeping the wind under control. Here are a couple pix.

Hey @coopmonte I did end up keeping it, and have gone on some long rides with it. At 5' 9" it does the trick for me - I don't think I would want it any taller. I cleaned lots of bugs and stuff off it many times and it still looks like new. Some might like a little darker tint but I am happy with it. The fit was perfect.

That's good to hear @JakeC7R , I'm 5'10" so I figure it would be close. The 6" KW is not really that bad, but I could use a little better coverage. Thanks for the update.
