Well I did it, just brought it home, so I am back in the brand. Had to play the dealer game... where they go back to the manager but after the third time I was like if you don't come back with numbers I like we can haggle in email as I will go home. So they wanted a prep charge along with their significant doc fee but basically got out a little over msrp once the doc fee was factored - in effect the surcharge got buried in the prep fee along with some a couple hundred off the msrp. compare to my last two vehicle purchases harley was a nightmare... last bike was email "hey you want this, I cut you a great deal" followed by sign and drive and out in 30 minutes and the car... well that was point click, click, bring a check and drive off as well.

I need to pull the bars back an inch or two and get a slightly taller windscreen (5'8" with 29.5" inseam) - basically my arms have no real bend in them. After the ride home I am debating the need for the radio as I can just SENA/iPhone my way with possibly a cheap blue tooth remote to make play/stop easier.

I think an El Diablo looks great, stock. Possibly or probably even collectable. Save all the mods for the Low Rider ST's without the Limited Edition. So far, I've been bored with every color the Low Rider ST comes in.... Black, Grey, and White. HD can do better than this, without a $6000 custom paint job and a blue tooth radio.

Like who needs a radio when you can put a Cardo Edge with blue tooth in your helmet with JBL speakers in your helmet. Makes no sense to me.

Can someone recommend bar backs for the bike that bring them back about an inch and possibly down as much. I find it odd they would design the fairing and bars to have your hands fully in the wind.

Second question, mustache engine guards or the more traditional engine guard? I realize if I use highway pegs I may need to replace the breather.

Its a great bike. Wait on the bars until you figure out the seat you want. The seat will change your riding position. I am trying both the Saddlemen SDC pro and the HD Sundowner. I am going to try a 2 inch riser extension first to see if that is enough before I change to longer risers or switch bars. I also have the clearview medium on order. I am 5'6 32" inseam. I will keep the group posted once I get the riser extensions and windshield.
