it's not on just yet so I can't speak from personal opinion riding-wise, but looks and sound-wise I know this was an easy choice.
I went the the thunderheader "high pipe" for my ST and with reason too.
with the offset bags these bikes come with, this high pipe not only gives great ground clearance (and style being one of the only pipes to run routed like this) but will fill that void where the bag is smaller, making it look intentional with this aftermarket pipe.
I know exactly what you mean with the bags on the ST, and I am looking for something a bit higher and longer than the shorty exhausts for exactly the same reason. Sadly, I just don't like the cone on the end of that pipe. The rest is great, but the cone just puts me off.
I am currently thinking the S&S Superstreet 2:1 may be the way to go for me. The jury is still out though...
Also went with the bassani i love the way it sounds im loosing the warranty though i just received my 22xe cam kit air cleaner and power vision from fuel moto yesterday

Does anyone have performance info on the Bassani Pro Street Turn Out pipes? I think it is a great looking system, and on video it sounds good, but I don't want to give anything up (especially low end torque). I'd be putting them on an otherwise stock 117, Harley tuner (I'm going to keep my warranty for a while.) Mostly it's about the look and the sound, any performance boost would be appreciated, but not needed.
do i have dyno results, not yet...really didint know if i wanted to waste the time on a stock bike...but actual performance, i d not feel is suffering at all. i do have the stage one tune it the bike, but the stage 2 makes it sound way better.
i planning a cam swap and going to wait to dyno at that time. again, i will tune the best tune for these pipes...and not worry bout a number or 3 in relation to a different exhaust. that slight difference in power can be out rode by a good rider.
i will say this, your may look different depending on model, the front head pipe is different if the bike has mid controls, since i swapped mine to forwards..i found a system for a fatboy, fatbob with forwards to have a better looking head pipe. BUT, i did have to fab the rear mounting bracket, as the swing arm is wider on those bikes..i had to stretch the bracket to reach the frame.
Not saying it’s the best option, but just installed SPC Big Bore pipes on my bike and pleased with the fit and finish of them on my M8.
sounds great with a 468 cam and tuned.
