Default Heritage Horn

I honked the horn today while racking up some break-in miles. I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. What kind of anemic in-bred joke is this?

What have you replaced your with?

I’m thinking about installing a train horn.

That’s odd. Mine sounds really loud, but it’s an annoying, shrill tone that hurts my ears.

I'm interested in hearing from people who have installed some LOUD horns on their Heritage. The stock horn is, I agree, ludicrous.

I installed the HELLA compact horns, both high and low pitch. Significant improvement but not crazy loud at 111db and 48 watts (4 amp draw).

Replaced mine with this old school bus horn. Didn't like to original one, sounded like it belonged on a moped. It is plenty loud!

Looking at the recess for fender clearance on the crash bar versus the protrusion of the horn, I hope the horn won’t hit the fender.

This horn does not hit the fender, like you would think. I checked all the clearances before I completed the installation. It is very close to the engine guard, but there is clearance.

I have to figure that the MoCo didn't put that artistic relief in the engine guard just for looks, that's why I asked.
