Default Oberon Levers

I installed a set of Avon grips and a set of adjustable Oberon clutch and brake levers this weekend.
I bought medium grips and with gloves on they were not as comfortable as I liked. Unfortunately I threw the container away. I went ahead and ordered a set of small and they are perfect.
These are the Memory Foam.
Then I installed a set of Oberon levers. My fingers always grabbed the lever by the tip of the finger and when I let the clutch out I tend to hold onto the lever. A few times I let the lever out
and give it gas and it doesn't move. Then I realize the release of the clutch is that last half inch.
Happened to see a Harley in the showroom with Oberon Levers and sat and played with them for a few minutes. Went straight to the parts counter and ordered a pair. They have 8 positions.
I am experimenting with 3 and 4 right now. Probably settle on three.

It is amazing how much a little change like the diameter of the grips and how far you have to reach for the lever makes. I lowered the bike and put the Harley Pull Back Risers on and they
were not large adjustments but help the comfort tremendously. I know all this depends on your size and height.
I'll attach 2 pictures of the levers. The right side shows the adjustment **** more clearly. In the pictures it makes it look like the fron of a portion of the levers are silver but that is a glare from
the Fluorescent lights in the garage.

Keep an eye out on the brake side lever. A bunch of us had issues with early M8 Oberon/Hog levers in that the brake fluid leaked down and you had spongy brakes and had to pump it up to get pressure back.

Another thing that I noticed with mine is if you adjust the clutch lever below 3 the bike will not start in gear. It moves the clutch rocker away enough so it won't depress the switch. Just an FYI.

Thanks so much for posting this, I've just bought and need to get fitted Oberon brake and clutch levers for my Street Bob 2020. I also bought Avon grips to fit, but different ones to yours. Great to hear the Oberons are as good as I'm hoping they will be!

Brake bleed down and clutch switch not engaging using Oberon levers on some Softails was a problem at the time, maybe fixed now, Search "Oberon" .
I use Rick's levers now.

I can confirm the same problem with the brakes using the Oberon's on a '19 Sport Glide. Switched to Rick's and no further problems.

OldMike, the instructions state that on some models you may not be able to start in gear at number 3 or lower. That is what mine does.
That part doesn't bother me but after some of the comments I will watch for the bleed down. Does it actually loose any fluid or just drop to the point you have to pump the lever to bring it
back to normal? I am asking because so far I have not had that problem.

No fluid loss, just needed a pump in the morning.

I was in the market for adjustable levers, I contacted Oberon to ask about the issues, and if they had done anything to solve them, after several attempts I never got a response, so I ordered Rick´s levers instead. I am very happy with them, I am able to start the bike in gear on all clutch lever positions and 0 issues on the brake lever
