Default Cost of bottom cylinder gasket replacement

Hi All
I am in a bind. I just noticed my rear cylinder gasket between bottom of cylinder and engine block is leaking. I have trip to NC planned really soon so I am not in position to play around with it and I will need dealer to get this fix asap. I was wondering what should I expect to spend on this repair?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would imagine 6+ hours of labor. The thing is once they pull the cylinder you could be spending much more if they find anything. Also the differance in Labor is not gonna be to far off from the labor to install a big bore kit. If you have the coin for that now is the time to do it.

Call the dealer and ask them, maybe?
2 year old bike and the base gasket is leaking? Oooof.
How bad is the leak? Is it actively spewing oil out when the engine is running or just a seep that leaves a wet area.

I just got stage 2 done by Fuel Moto 3 weeks ago if that would happen earlier i could put big bore at the time but bike is tuned and everything now 😢 yes leak is not really bad it is more like seepage but i rode 10 miles or so yesterday after cleaning everything and found it wet like on the picture

there was no worst time for this to happen

I’m not seeing anything in that picture. Besides, I thought only Evos had base gasket leaks. ;-)

Its a seep, ride it, keep an eye on the oil level. Fix it when you get back

Yes hard to see as i just clean it but it is wet on rear cylinder only after 10 miles of 90mph riding on highway. Damn it now I am thinking maybe I should consider this big bore kit... wonder what would be cost difference. Aaaaagh I am pissed but hey I have video coming out on YT about visit to HD museum - the best motorcycles in the world

Just had a stage 2 done and tuned by fuelmoto...I think you might be disappointed in a dealer big bore. I vote to ride it until you get back...it doesn't look that bad and besides they all do that.

I had a similar weep at the rear cylinder base gasket on my Evo years ago. I finished the riding season before attending to it, not a big deal.

I have quite a trip next week, none of the places around can fix it before so I guess I will have to take my chances and roll with it. Waiting for quote from FM for big bore if I get good deal this might happen.
